The Mansion of Crossroads

Andrew nodded, stepping out of sight, basically wandering around the mansion looking for a weapon. Eventually he stumbled upon a large steel door, which lead into what looked like a basement. Andrew descended to the bottom, stepping into a large armory. Inside was a multitude of weapons, armor, and gear. Some of it looked like it had been taken.

And there, sitting completely unharmed amongst it, was Andrew's T-45D, M199 Assault Rifle, N99 Sidearm, and all of his ammo.

Within ten minutes, Andrew was stepping back into the room that was occupied by Aya and Leon. "Well, found my equipment. Time to find our lost friends, eh?"

"Well, at least I know your Canadian, eh? Lead the way, big man. Your the one with the armory on his back." Aya stood up, reaching the door to the outside at a speedy pace, and opened it for her new friend.

"Why thank you, miss." Andrew stepped outside into the cool, dark night. They had a good thirty minute jog and no vehicalular transportation. Something Andrew was used to.

"So, Aya? You up for a little jog?"

"Sure. Just try not to trip and die." Aya breathed in the fresh night air, looking at the beautiful stars above.

"If I fell over in this thing, the entire city would wake up." Andrew chuckled as he broke into a light jog. Moving rather fast for holding a seven pound rifle and wearing 50 pounds of gear, and easily 30 pounds of ammunition.

He looked up slightly, glancing up at the stars which reflected off his black visor. It was beautiful. Even in the wasteland, where the blowing sand generally blocked out the sun, he could see the stars. The stars out here, out west, looked different though. Of course, he was a couple thousand miles away.

Leon decided to tag along and keep pace. He could still hear Hurrst bitching as he grabbed his Silver Ghost, his knife and what little ammo he still had left. Wasn't much, but hopefully it would do, he'd try getting ahold of some bigger weaponry later, he'd done it in Racoon back in '98 he'd do it in faux Racoon in '12.

"You seem to be competent enough when it comes to moving." Aya kept a light jog down the hill, looking at the dark forest to her right and left. It was getting dark enough for a flashlight, though she didn't need one. She didn't know about Andrew, though.

Andrew shrugged as he glanced over his shoulder at Leon, who had followed them out with what looked like a 9mm. "I've had a lot of practice wearing this thing. Back in the wasteland, the slow people are all dead."

The Lone Wanderer looked at the surrounding forest, and the city down the hill. It was getting dark, and his Pip-Boy 3000 DID have a flashlight... but he didn't need it. Infact, he simply set his VATS to scan, highlighting all living creatures that would be moving around. Also displaying tactical and combat information about them.

"Yes, I've always prefered a 9mm. M9s are my favorie type of pistol, though using a weapon isn't a very good thing at all." Aya kept her steady pace, not cold by any standards, even without a jacket. Given that her cells gave off more energy than any other normal human, she could keep herself at a nice, steady tempature at all times. Even in someplace in the artic, she could keep warm with a simple T-Shirt. Given, it would take up her energy, but she wouldn't be much effected by the cold.

"I try not to limit myself down to one weapon. In my experience, a single weapon will often run out of ammo or break before the job is done. So that's why I've trained in CQC, explosives, energy weapons, and stealth tactics." Andrew chimed in, keeping his jog at a steady pace and showing no signs of strain in his voice.

"Of course, I try to answer most of my problems with mundane actions."

At the word, M9, Leon's ears perked up, "So you're military, then?" It was the standard-issue 9mm handgun, well, at least in his timeline. The small light on his belt clicked softly before activating, the little gadget being set to automatically turn on in dark areas, just like the one he'd worn in Spain. He kept up a light jog, being sure not to fall behind his heavily armored cohort and this odd woman he'd just met.

"No, not at all." Aya spat out the blatant lie, looking at the city coming into better view. It was quite beautiful from here, though the lights were making seeing the stars a little harder. She had to admit, this was a pretty serene place. Somewhere she could sit back for the rest of her endless life.

"United States Marine Corps, 2066-2077. Fought in the Sino-American War." Andrew replied to Leon, though the man's question was directed towards Aya.

The Marine looked down at the city, while beautiful to some, he couldn't help but recall the war. "Heh... last time I saw a place like this was Nanjing... we bombed that place into the ground..."

"Wonderful," Leon muttered, noting that they were closing in on the city, "And the last time I was in Racoon City, the government ended up nuking it. Hopefully, we'll be a little more lucky this time."

"Oh, I remember when I rammed a nuke into a giant monster, onto the stature of liberty. Good times." Aya kept pace with the two, entering the very outskirts of the city, though they were no where near the 'true' city.

"I once disarmed a nuke. Also launched an ICBM at China." The Lone Wanderer shrugged, looking over at Aya. "So, whats it like, where you come from?"

"It's like here. Or was." Aya continued her pace, stapping onto the side of the road, as a large long hual truck approached them from down the road.

Andrew stepped off to the side as the truck began to move up the hill. Even with all of his gear, he hadn't even began to breath heavily. He looked over at Aya as the truck passed with a roar.

"C'mon, you couldn't be fiction without some epic story. Care to share?"

"No, I don't- What the fuck was that? Why did the truck stop?" Aya turned around, only to see the truck had stopped, headlights still on, idlying...in the middle of the road.

Andrew looked back as the truck stopped, slinging his M199 into a better position to raise it and fire on a moment's notice, clicking off the safety.

"I don't know... best to check it out..." He replied, stepping forward cautiously, but confidently. He'd dealt with things like this back when he was fighting the Canadian Resistance Fighters.

"Excuse me, is everything all right?" He called towards the stopped truck, walking up behind it, but making sure to stay a good distance away. His rifle began to slowly raise up towards the car door.

Leon followed the LW, given the other had heavier armor (or armor at all) along with a superior weapon, but he still had blind spots which the Agent could cover with his handgun, and besides, if their was a threat two guns were better than just one. Leon remained a healthy distance back whilst the Lone Wanderer advanced on the cab of the spotted truck.

Aya kept her distance, slowly backing into the woods, but still keeping close to the two on their approach. At the very least, she could get out of the direct line of fire, being as she had no uber armor. And while she could heal her wounds, she couldn't heal her head being blown off. But the truck door opened, revealing a man with crimson eyes, obese, and wearing a red checkered jacket. A stereotypical trucker, down to the last detail. He fell, or in this case, made a controlled descent from the truck, grabbing onto the steps of the truck before he fell on his face. He slowly approached Leon and the Lone Wanderer, a slight stiffness in his step

Aya looked behind her. There was nobody there, that much she could tell. With her enhanced senses, and her ability so sense animal and human mitochondrion, not much could sneak up on them. But she couldn't take a shoot on this guy approaching the pair, so she hanged back, and kept confident they could handle it. Something about his mitochondrion where off, though...

Andrew's instincts immedietly told him to shoot this man. But he couldn't do that, especially with a couple dozen dead SWAT Officers already on his record. He hoped the man would stop walking, but he continued right along until he was about three feet away.

"Sir, please stop right there. Sir, sir-" Andrew kept trying to make this man stop, but he wouldn't. Within a second he was up on Andrew. The Marine reacted by stepping forward and swinging his rifle. The stock connected with the bottom of the man's chin, sending him spiraling onto his back.

The Lone Wanderer immedietly refocused his rifle on the guy, who was now on the ground, and shifted back two steps. "I told you to fucking STOP. Are you deaf!?"

Leon took a step forward, his laser sight dancing across the downed trucker's back, surely he couldn't be what the agent thought the man was, their weren't zombies in this universe...were their?

The truck drivers head bulged out, as if something was trying to escape, and simply exploded, sending bits and pieces of flesh, and skull everywhere, as well as some oragne goo. The truck however, seemingly shut off from its own accord, and the trailer door at the end of the truck opened, though at the front of the truck, none of them could possibly see inside.
