This is Halloween

"I'm a ninja." The little girl said simply, waiting for the movie to come on, the final messages about other movies, turning your cell phone off, and a few commercials. Also something about a public service announcment about being careful around weird beings, as they could be fictional characters; the dangerous sort, anyway. She sipped a Coca Cola (Irony) that she had snuck into the theater, being that it was insanely over priced to buy a simple drink that cost half at a store. She waited, as the movie started...

Lia sighed and noticed Malachi had also seen Pepsi. She turned her attention back to the screen as the film started after the announcements and advertisements.

(time skip to endz of movie!)

Malachi, Lia, and pepsi exited the theater, malachi felt a sense of nostalgia in seeing the old movie. The last time he saw it was with some of his friends in innsmouth in the late seventies. "So what now lia, pepsi? what would you like to do next?" He smiled at the two of them.

Pepsi heard a few screams coming from behind the stage, probably some of the employees. Thing was? No one else bothered, thinking it was the movie. Well, she knew things were going down tonight. Knew it.

Lia took the screams as a bunch of scared kids, "I don't know really." She glanced up the street as a couple of teenagers running down the street laughing like they had just done something stupid, but hilarious to them. She turned to Pepsi, "Anything you want to do, Pepsi?"

Malachi tasted something in the air, it had the unmistakable electric tang of magick. He smelled something too... like brimstone and ash, mixed with blood and rusted metal. With the added screams that didnt bode well... "Maybe we should check out were thats coming from..." He suggested to the others, somewhat cautious.

"Alright. I'll just cover you guys from behind. And stuff." The little girl put a fale smile on her face, as she waited for the two to walk ahead of her.

Lia shrugged and nodded before moving off in the direction of the screams. She couldn't help but wonder what had the other two so worked up about it.

Malachi frowned a bit, but then chuckled a bit. "Alright lets go." If anything went wrong, he had his magnum in his pocket, ready to blow someones head off. He followed lia closely, pepsi behined him. Carter was still cuddled up against lia, it was shaking a bit and made a few weak whimpering mews.

"So uh.....Quarians are good at hand to hand, so I'll just stay here till your done. If somethings wrong, please don't scream, yell what the problem is. Mm'kay?" The little girl stood, waiting on the two to head on in, alone. A few people were still in the theaters, trying to see if there was anything at the end of the credits.

Lia wasn't sure what had Pepsi so worked up, but she could see it in Malachi too. He hid it well but something inside was bothering. She was beginning to suspect it was more than just some frightened teenagers. Despite this, she walked right into the theatre without missing a step, albeit slower and more cautious than she normally would.

Children mobbed the streets like zombies. Collins noted that many of them were, in fact, zombies; the craze, even in this place, was all the rage. Collins remembered his lovely 360, his old dorm that eternally smelled like shit and piss (this was for a very good reason) and his old...

Girlfriend? Nah. He hadn't had a girlfriend.

Had he?

Ignoring the question at hand, he threw himself into the fray, stomping among the children like a giant. There were children of all shapes and sizes- tall, short, fat, fat, fat. Collins had a feeling that, for the fat'uns, this Halloween was better than Christmas. He laughed quietly at his silent insults to children, however depressing, and shuffled through the crowds on the main street. It was surprising, what happened on main street- there had been an impressive parade earlier, and now each store was offering candy. One even had a tricked out machine that gave you Snickers at the press of a button, shooting it from a cannon and making everyone nearby jump in fright. The local mall had been turned into a goddamn huge haunted house- it was divided into sections. Each was theme based- it was a large mall, with 10 sections in all. Five were adult-only, and those sounded interesting. Collins had heard (or seen, rather- he had no contacts and relied on the newspaper for virtually everything) about this, and wanted to try it. He slipped into a somewhat deserted alleyway, pulled out his phone, and skimmed through his contacts.

(Did that contact say Isabella? Who?)

He remembered that very few Mansion residents had phones, and put his phone to hibernate.

He forced his way back into and down the street to the "Adults Only Fucking Freaky Huge Scary Haunted House That'll Make You Shit Your Pants," hosted by the local mall. He was excited, for the first time in a while.

Malachi entered the theater... it was a grotesque sight. Piles of entrails wre scattered across the lobby, iron chains and hooks hung from the ceilings, rusted, blood stained, some still had mangled bodies hanging from them. It seemed that some of them were actually still a live, slowly bleeding out. There were a few odd wooden and metal devices of somewhat a medieval look to their design and purpose. Skinned faces were nailed to wooden posts, arms and legs were fused together in horrid displays of sadism... alll the while the moans and screams of the tortured, not all of them in pain, echoed throughout the theater.

Skulls were bare of skin and muscle, peoples bodies distorted into horrid sights, skin stretched and resown, teeth pulled, eyes gouged, tongues cut, and throats opened. bloodied knives, hooks, razors, and the like layed upon trays and tables next to the bodies, some of the tools used for this dark work.

Malachi looked back at lia and frowned, "Lia, stay close to me..." He said rather seriously. He was a little worried, normally he could defend himself against something like this, but he had lia to look after as well, he didnt want to think of whatever did this getting its hands on her.

Lia nodded, dumbstruck by the sight of the torture and butchery. She clutched Carter tighter against her frame, not wanting to release the kitten but she did not hurt it while she did so. Most people would have been nauseous, gagging or even vomiting, but the Quarian's gag reflex was avoided by the fact that her suits olfactory filters were still off. She turned to Malachi and waited for him to lead the way, her confidence that she would be able to handle herself, completely gone.

Along the main street, as the hustle and butle of festivities went on, a man kept to the shadows as much as possible. Dressed like a Victorian-era gentleman, with a great overcoat covering him down to his knees, a top hat standing out on his head and a stylish walking stick in a gloved hand, he'd stick out like a sore thumb amidst the normal populace. But to him, this was the norm; he wasn't meant to be here, in this time and place.

Former Scotland Yard Inspector and now vampyric undead Matthew Rathborne continued to stride through the street, his eyes darting left and right as he studied the glares he was getting from some of the revelers. He ignored them, taking a turn at an interection and avoiding a puddle of what he assumed was rainwater as he clomped down the street, heading towards the theatre. He hadn't seen a performance many years.

Pepsi stood, almost half the credits going by at this point. Still, a few people stayed in the room with her, giving her some comfort in it all.

Pinhead stood above the crowd of humans that he and his minions had captured, they were being torn apart, strung up, and defiled in any way physically imaginable. Some idiot had been foolish enough to toy with the lament configuration, the puzzle box that summoned the cenobites from their home dimension. The cenobites were not good, nor were they evil, not angels or demons... simply explorers of carnal pleasure. Sadomasochism in a form that goes beyond the boundaries of pain and pleasure. Each of these humans would be killed and their souls taken back to their home dimension... The leader of the Cenobites had such sights to show them...

His Lieutenants oversaw the other cenobites, they were all mutilated to some degree and clad in leather. Butterball, a rather short and obese cenobite, his bulging eyes hid behind a pair of rounded sunglasses. The Female, a pale woman with sunken features, her neck was torn open. And Finally Chatterer, Pinhead's enforcer, the skin from his lips had been torn off, his face stretched around itself and over his eyes. His speech had been reduced to a eerie chattering sound.

Lia suppressed a gasp at the horribly grotesque scene before her. She had never witnessed such a scene as disturbingly brutal as this one, not even anything Batarians or Vorcha did compared to this. She turned her head away as she felt a wave of nausea wash over her. Nothing could have prepared her for such a scene and as such, she was struck mute, at least momentarily by the insides of the theatre.

Rathborne stopped by the stairs leading into the theatre - several person were gathered outside, in tears or babbling about some pandemonium that had taken place inside.

Sticking to low-lit areas, he withdrew his Webley Mk I .455 revolver as he headed towards the entrance...

Malachi drew his colt magnum and turned to lia, "Lia, i'm gonna need you to try and stay calm, alright? I need you to answer me something.... are you any good with puzzles?" He asked her, a bit worried. He knew good and well that he couldnt take the four of them on by himself, maybe if pinhead and chatterer werent there he could take the weaker of the group.

Pinhead noticed the new arrivals to the room, an odd fish like creature and an alien of some sort tucked away in a suit. He smiled and said in his deep voice, "We have such sights to show you... let us experience your flesh."\

Carter shook with fear and tried to bury himself into lia as much as he could.

Hearing screams inside the theatre, Rathborne slammed hi back against the edge of the doorframe of the entrance leading inide the theatre, his Webley out as he quickly loaded it. He could hear harh converation going back and forth and the iron smell of blood was cloying in the air. It seemed to bring something primal out of Rathborne, but he fought it down, trying to focus.

For now, he holstered his sidearm and waited, intending to see what happen next.

Lia nodded slightly, "There isn't much to do in your free time on a sh-" She was cut off as Pinhead spoke to them, something about wanting their flesh and wanting to show them something. Whatever he meant, she didn't like it as she took an involuntary step back and held the squirming kitten that was trying to press further against her chest for protection.

Malachi snarled at pinhead, and spoke in the tongue of the old ones, placing cursing the foul creatures. The lesser cenobites seemed to reel at the words, however pinhead and his lieutenants stayed strong. Malachi new that the odds were against them, so he did the first thing that came to his mind. He raised an arm, a tentacle slithered from his sleeve and grabed the Lament configuration. It receeded quickly and the puzzlebox was in his hand. Pinhead's eyes went wide and Malachi just gave him a smirk. He then shouted, "RUN!!" He shouted, grabing lia as he bolted out of the theater.

Carter held onto Lia for dear life, digging his claws into her suit as he clenched around her stomach, while malachi dragged her along with him out of the theater..

"PEPSI! WERE LEAVING!" Malachi roared, a flurry of chains, hooks, and a group of cenobites chased after the group.

Noting two occupants of the theatre charge out of the theatre and several foul ... somethings (he couldn't identify what they were), Rathborne cocked the hammer on his revolver and took off after them, his hands firmly gripped on his Webley.

"BURN IN HELL" The little girl, Pepsi, fired of a few large of the Gandar shot as she ran away, inaccurate at best. They weren't particulary powerful, just powerful enough to cause some physical harm. The fresh air of the street greeted her, as she ran like hell into the street.

A woman stood near an ally way, her form covered in darkness, unseen, and unknown. She had her hands folded, a little grin on her face, watching the few people come out of the theater. She had honestly came out to see the children pass by, and locate the newest enemy Servant- Saber class. For any other like herself, that relied on magic, that would be a problem. But she was an Archer, and a fairly balanced one, good in shooting things, blowing things up, and cutting things up. Variety is the spice of death, after all.
